All “Brews”ed up!

Last week it was announced that New Belgium Brewing Company (Fat Tire) has agreed to build a new state-of-the-art Brewery in Buncombe County (the Asheville area). It was in January that Sierra Nevada Brewing Company announced that it would locate a brewing facility in Hendersonville, NC, which is just a few miles down the road from Asheville.

I am happy to see that the West Coast micro-brews have taken notice of the East Coast’s appreciation for beer and the incredible Brew Crafters that are already here. I am going to take time in this blog to give a much deserved shout out to the Western North Carolina Breweries that have been in our communities and representing us well, not only with beer, but with music, art, and community involvement!

I’ll start with my favorite:
